Puppy Love

We had 4 dogs to watch over this holiday weekend, so Maverick enjoyed having so much company for a bit, but was really very ready to have his house back by last night. Here are some pix from his time with Toula and also with “his boys” Sam and Alex.

My Two White Powder Puffs!

I’ve been trying to get a “perspective” picture so you can see just how teeny tiny Toula really is. So far this is as close as I can get. Maverick only weighs 22 lbs. Toula is only 4. Her little legs are like little pencils. Here are my two little powder puffs out for a stroll.

uh, hello???

Ok, lots to cover on LOTF today!! We’re dog sitting little Toula (who weighs all of 4 whopping pounds) and she is an ABSOLUTE pip!!! This morning I took her out and she met a new friend. This little doe decided she wanted to play so she popped out of the field and kept coming closer and closer to Toula. Toula froze and the doe just kept getting closer. Finally Toula spoke up first and barked and the deer ran back into the field. Minutes later it bounced back out of the field into the yard to play with Toula again. SOOOOOOO CUTE!

It’s HOT!!!!

Maverick’s best friends Alex and Sam stayed with us this past weekend. It was 100 degrees in NJ on Saturday so the dogs were drinking every chance they got. Here’s Maverick’s best friend Sam drinking the water as I filled it for the horses.

Lovebirds

Now that Delilah has come to live with us, we needed all 6 stalls in the barn, so Centanni gave up her double wide condo and Jack moved in next door! So the two loves birds are right next to each other. I think they like these living arrangements!!

Timber!!!!

Sunday was Arbor Day in reverse on the farm!! We have a couple of trees that needed to be removed and it pays to know a man with a big chainsaw!!! It ALSO pays to have friends to help move all the wood and brush once it’s cut! A few good friends turned into a sort of tree party with some pizza and a lot of fun! A special thanks to John, Barb and their boys, and Jim!! (and Gary who came over to cut up the pieces that were too big for me to pick up once my friends left!)
