Dirty Stayout!

Because of the nasty weather forecast here in Jersey last night, I switched the horses back over to the winter schedule (in at night). But just yesterday morning they were coming in from being out over night and looking pretty tired. Here’s Delilah…she looks like she’s ready for her nap. Well, she got a nice long nap last night all tucked in her stall safe from the weather.

Rut-ro!!!

When I turned Delilah out last night, I noticed she had a broken post in her field. So I had to “fix” it. Nothing a little baling twine couldn’t fix until I can put in a new post! But look what I found hidden in the prickers!!

Turnout

We hosted a slumber party this weekend for our niece and nephews. Brooke (left) and Noah (middle) helped me with the horse chores including turning Delilah (right) out for the night.

New Friends…

My nieces and nephews came for a visit last night and wanted to meet all the new horses in the barn since their last visit. Here’s Brooke meeting Delilah. The kids just loved her!!!

Torture!

Poor Delilah. She has a problem with her feet where she can’t have very much grass, so she needs to wear this muzzle when she goes out. Poor thing at first was so frustrated! It’s like putting a chocolate cake in front of a kid and telling them not to eat it! She’s starting to get the hang of it though.
