Jen came to visit Delilah last night and decided to go for a ride–BAREBACK! Delilah hasn’t been ridden since last summer and she was a perfect angel!!! Good girl Delilah. Great job riding Jen!

I don’t feel good!!
Poor Delilah hasn’t been feeling herself the past 2 days. Had the vet stop by last night to pump some oil and water into her belly. Hopefully that’ll do the trick! Poor girl!
More mud…
Well it looks like Delilah had some fun rolling around in the mud yesterday! At least the big horses are wearing blankets and stay SOMEwhat clean. Uh, Jen (Delilah’s mom) where ARE you?????????
Morning tea…
Every morning when I turn Delilah out, she first needs to get her drink. I think she likes it cause the water is warm. It’s like a nice cup of tea!
Oh yuck!
So it IS the end of January. Where’s all this mud coming from?? Anyone got a brush??
Shedding tears
Delilah often produces just one tear in her left eye that just sits under her lower lid. Well, because its so cold out, the tear freezes to her eye lid and makes a tiny little icecicle that I have to wipe off when I bring her in. Poor thing!
Precious friends
Of course horses are a herd animal so they love their friends. Here’s Delilah keeping Cartwright company while he’s sequestered in his rehab space.
Best Part of the Day
If you ask Delilah what her favorite part of the day is, she’d likely say “dinner”. That’s cause she LOVES it when I bring her her hay. Wish I could record her little nicker when she sees it coming. Too cute!

Ok, last post about the hurricane, I promise.
If you ask Delilah, she’d ask for a hurricane EVERY day!! She got to come inside out of the weather, no muzzle, and eat lots of yummy hay. She got so excited when I gave it to her. She couldn’t eat it fast enough!
