Precious friends
Of course horses are a herd animal so they love their friends. Here’s Delilah keeping Cartwright company while he’s sequestered in his rehab space.
New round pen
We needed to section off a spot for Cartwright to live in for a couple of months (due to his injury), so we bought a round pen. Here it is all set up!

Cartwright is still suffering with a painful shoulder, but it’s not enough to keep him from gettin’ down and gettin’ dirty!!!
Cheap Shot!
Cartwright absolutely LOVES to play whenever Chevy comes in. Here he is taking a cheap shot at Chevy when he’s not looking (actually Chevy was prepared and was showing Cartwright his better side!!)
A Birthday Party!!
In the horse racing biz, January 1st is a Thoroughbred’s birthday. So yesterday we celebrated Centanni’s, Patty’s, and Cartwright’s birthdays with a little extra hay! Happy Birthday kids!

At Last……
Cartwright has been stall bound for 2 weeks now and today is the first day he’s allowed to go out in a confined space. So…we made him a little tiny paddock so he could finally get out for some air and grass! He’s happy!
Relief!
Cartwright has had some shoulder pain this past week and is on stall rest. Now that he can get up and down, he is enjoying his new shavings.
Poor Cartwright
Cartwright’s having some difficulty these past few weeks. He’s up to three different medications by mouth. Poor guy doesn’t like it much.
