Woo-hoo!!

Saturday was our last Farmer’s Market. Once the kids go back to school we lose our audience! But this little guy got his very first pony ride ever!! As soon as the diaper hit the saddle he was grinning from ear to ear!!! I think he’s hooked! Too cute!!!

Puppy Love

We had 4 dogs to watch over this holiday weekend, so Maverick enjoyed having so much company for a bit, but was really very ready to have his house back by last night. Here are some pix from his time with Toula and also with “his boys” Sam and Alex.

Munchies

We haven’t seen much of Patty these days so I took his picture while I was taking him out to his pasture for the night. He’s normally very camera shy, but not when you put grass in front of his face!!!!

My Two White Powder Puffs!

I’ve been trying to get a “perspective” picture so you can see just how teeny tiny Toula really is. So far this is as close as I can get. Maverick only weighs 22 lbs. Toula is only 4. Her little legs are like little pencils. Here are my two little powder puffs out for a stroll.

Ouchie

Poor Leo. He’s threw a shoe about 2 weeks ago and now he’s struggling with an abcess in his foot. Farrier finally made it out to see him and open it up to drain. The poor boy can’t walk very well cause he’s sore. Hopefully just a few more days of being wrapped up and he’ll feel better.

awwww!!

Look what I spotted from across the farmer’s market!! Isn’t he adorable!?!?!? If only they could stay this small and adorable!!!

uh, hello???

Ok, lots to cover on LOTF today!! We’re dog sitting little Toula (who weighs all of 4 whopping pounds) and she is an ABSOLUTE pip!!! This morning I took her out and she met a new friend. This little doe decided she wanted to play so she popped out of the field and kept coming closer and closer to Toula. Toula froze and the doe just kept getting closer. Finally Toula spoke up first and barked and the deer ran back into the field. Minutes later it bounced back out of the field into the yard to play with Toula again. SOOOOOOO CUTE!

Flying high

We get a lot of hot air balloons flying overhead, and occassionally this guy flies over for a peek at what’s going on at Keona Farm! The horses freak out everytime he goes by!

Grub time

Jack’s favorite pasttime is eating (he’s a normal horse). But the morning sun was hitting his face and made it a pretty picture so I had to grab it while I could. Here he is enjoying his breakfast this morning.

THAT was close!

I literally almost stepped on this little guy when I was walking into the barn last night. He’s got all his feathers but he can’t quite fly yet so I put him in the hay cart in the barn until he feels more confident and to keep him safe. I’m hoping mommy will continue to feed him til he can scrounge up his own grub!
