A Dog of a Different Color

People often ask me what I was thinking getting a WHITE dog on a farm. My answer?: I fell in love. Here’s the cutest puppy in the world after playing on the farm. After playing, he ends up in the sink for a bath!!!

Winterizing….

There are some horsey personal hygiene things we must take care of before it gets too cold. It was pretty toasty in the barn last night so we took care of those things for my two boys.

Late Fall Harvest

Now that all the corn has died, it’s time to harvest the actual corn kernels for livestock fodder. The field across the street from us is planted with horse corn every year and so here are some farmers harvesting it for grain.

Hay-zilla

As most of you know, getting hay becomes a regular thing at this time of year. I calculate that we’ll need about 120 bales to get us through winter this year. This load brings us to about 55 bales. About half way there!!!!

Cute!

Mavy went rolling in his bed and got just a wee bit tangled in his blanket. It was just too cute not to take a picture!

Freeloaders!

Ok, I know everyone deserves a nice, warm bed, but C’MON!!!!!! I mean really….you don’t see me taking THEIR stuff!!! Humph! I guess that guy Shawn saved the other day is madder than I thought!!
