Funny how 25 lbs of lemons looks like nothing in 10 cubic yards of compost!

Shawn brought home just 1 of the bags of lemon rind leftover from making the lemonade at Chick-Fil-A. This sucker weighs about 20 lbs!

With the arrival of spring comes fertilizing the fields. What that REALLY means is spreading the manure piles that have been “cooking” for the past year. Part of that process is composting. We throw a BUNCH of stuff in the compost pile….eggshells, veggies, grass clippings, pine needles, tea bags,…all kinds of stuff!! It’s all soooooo good for the fields!
