Bird release day was truly an AMAZING experience!!!! Thanks to Tom’s River Avian Care, we had the privilege of releasing 2 great horned owls and a red-tailed hawk to freedom on our farm. We’re hoping they stay somewhat close by and that we may see them soaring one day, but they’re well equipped to be on their own now.
What an opportunity for us!!

I grew up wanting to be an archeologist. This is the closest I’ve come….I found this old show buried on the farm. My horses don’t wear shoes so it feels like a piece of history from horses who have lived on the farm before us.
Ella finished up this set of lessons and is saying goodbye to Delilah until she sees her again next month! Bye Ella, see you soon!!

Ella started riding lessons this weekend. She offered to carry the helmet bag (which is just about as big as she is).

The farm has been selected as a release site for some owls that were rehabbed and now ready to be turned back out into the wild. So, we’ll need to get close to some trees for them to call their new neighborhood! Stay tuned!
