Yay!!! Spring has FINALLY sprung! Well, at least on the calendar. Still waiting for the warmer weather. One way I know it’s here is that I can hear the birds chirping early in the mornings when I feed the horses. One poor family of birds lost their housing recently. They made their nest out of Chevy’s hair and it’s too light to stay put in the tree!!! 🙁
Mav was LONG over due for a bath and a haircut. Here’s my puppy allllllll clean and smelling so good!!
Jen (Delilah’s mom) came to the farm for a visit this weekend and Maverick was soooooooo excited to see her again. He wanted kisses so bad!! Awwww!!
We haven’t seen Froggy since the infamous frognapping….here is is all dressed up for St. Patrick’s Day. I mean really….he IS a Mulligan!
Puppy camp is over. Mav’s friends headed home last night. They were so excited to be going back home. But not Mav, he is sad.
As you recall our last load brought us up to 105 bales. Here’s 20 more so that makes 125. This should last through the end of March. I’m thinking maybe 1 or even 2 more loads and then the grass should be in and we won’t need much hay anymore! (except Chevy)
Lately it seems all the animals are needing prescription medications. Here are all the drugs I dish out in the morning these days…..3 drugs for poor Cartwright and 1 for Alex.
Mav’s BFFs are staying with us for a few days. That makes Mav ONE HAPPY PUPPY!! Lots of activity on the farm this weekend so the dogs got a lot of playtime in. Here are some shots….
Well, it’s starting. The horses have begun shedding. I usually end up grooming the horse and then grooming myself cause I’m wearing most of their hair by the time I’m done!
We were expecting a Nor’Easter here in Jersey and it was awfully windy / rainy out yesterday so I let the horses stay in. Last night it wasn’t too bad out so I let them out for a few hours. Here are some shots of how that looked.
