Sunday was our official 1st day back for pony parties (Corona-style)! Katie’s family had a princess birthday party for Emily who is turning 3, and Delilah was a surprise. The kids were so excited!

Happy 18th!
July 4th was Captain’s 18th birthday! The nextdoor neighbor’s grand kids came over and sang to him as they fed him his dinner. Loads of attention (grooming and lots of hugs). Happy Birthday big man! You’re an adult now!
Some relief from the heat
Although the barn is pretty cool, the stalls get hot cause the air doesn’t flow through very well. Delilah LOVES LOVES LOVES her fan!

A little help
I ended up with a little last minute help on Father’s Day. These guys have visited a few times and helped me feed. Now they’ve graduated to turning out the horses (well, some of them anyway)!
Still shedding
I took Chevy out to graze while I groomed him. I seem to have left half of him out in the field! But fear not….he’s got PLENTY more!!
Snake skin
Ok, this is one thing THIS farm girl does not handle with any grace whatsoever. So glad I didn’t find this while it was occupied, or I would have come out of MY skin first!
It doesn’t take long…
Give him a shower at 4pm and by 7 am you can’t tell!

Harper came for a visit to ride Patty. When she was finished, she stopped to have a little conversation with Chevy…..
Fields are dressed
A nice coat of topsoil on the fields before the rain…..
